LIFE TEACHES US SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY!

Never… and never ever, would I have thought that painting could transport me into an unpredictable world full of surprises and discoveries.

Once upon a time, there was a sea that I never thought I could fill all the way… with colors. Who would have imagined it?!!

Was it hard work? Absolutely! From light blues to deeper ones, it involved questions, beads of frustration-induced sweat, desires to abandon everything, fears of repetition, without neglecting the dazzlements, the lights, and the joys of small, progressive glories.

It’s hard, really hard, to be a mariner! Initially, it was a work of visual research. How to transcribe this divine beauty and aesthetics. Not easy!

How to learn to read a landscape as closely as possible and distinguish between what the eye sees, what the brain tells us, and what our painter’s eye should see… and that’s not always easy!

Then, I had to accept the rogue wave that capsized me, shipwreck after shipwreck.

The conclusion? The sea is particularly challenging to reproduce. Crossing it and infusing it with life when it is in our hands is not an easy mission. It floats, rocks you once and knocks you over several times. It drives us crazy. It’s impossible to control, even when reinventing it.

For me, it was a journey that I never imagined I would experience with such passion, energy, and resilience.

Each canvas has its own adventure…

See you soon! 😉
